Hi everyone, hope you are super well.
I am feeling very energised today after a great evening at NFT UK last night. It’s always great to meet 32 Dreams holders and readers of this newsletter IRL. It makes me very happy to share these moments with you as the broader space accelerates forward.
In terms of my own steps forward: it should come as no surprise that so much of what happens in “NFT World” is connected to the crypto markets and regulation (which is connected to the broader markets).
As such, please let me know what you think of the addition of a new section this week: “This Week in Crypto”. These are some highlights of the important crypto news to which I am paying attention.
Is there anything else you want to see/wish was included? I am thinking of a “legal” section and perhaps an “opportunities/jobs” section too.
Have a great week!

1. This Week in Crypto
The Ethereum Merge was successful. The Ethereum network successfully moved from a “Proof of Work” consensus mechanism to “Proof of Stake”. This means that Ether, the native asset of Ethereum, secures the network now instead of electricity. It has been stated that worldwide electricity consumption has been reduced by 0.2% as a consequence.
Coinbase start publishing crypto-viewpoints of political leaders in US - 103M users can now get educated on the crypto positions held by their political leaders. This should have the effect of raising the profile of crypto
Do Kwon Arrest Warrant Issued - South Korea has issued an arrest warrant for the Terraform Labs Founder, who oversaw the horrific “stablecoin” crash of UST which resulted in huge losses for investors.
Pound (GBP) slides to lowest value against dollar since 1985. At the time of writing £1.13 buys $1. That is pretty wild. No currency can seem to hold a candle to the dollar right now.
Binance launches physical card in Argentina. The launch of a physical crypto-card which “supports real-time cryptocurrency to fiat currency conversion, enabling you to spend your crypto assets with merchants globally” might assist the population to move away from their native currency and escape their currencies devaluation.
2. This Week in NFT World
$70 Million in Art at MoMA to Be Sold to Extend Museum’s Digital Reach. Masterpieces by Picasso, Renoir and Rodin, will be sold this fall to fund the museum's new push into digital.
Starbucks partner with Polygon to build Web3 experience. The experience will allow Starbucks Rewards loyalty program members and partners to earn and purchase digital collectible stamps in the form of NFTs.
Jim Carrey Secretly Dropped NFTs Under His Web3 Alias. Carrey released the collection, called Germinations, under his Web3 alias String Bean. It includes five animated, autobiographical paintings by Carrey, each containing audio of the actor narrating the characters depicted in the pieces.
Sotheby’s auctioned a private NFT collection - 67% of crypto art lots sold beneath the estimate, but many were sold for 6 figures. Works included pieces by Robness, Beeple, XCOPY, Hackatao, Coldie and Pak.
3. Media Plans
Media is upstream of culture: what we consume shapes us to a huge degree.
Whilst we do have some excellent media produced from within our space, there still exists a gap in the market for reputable, honest, unbiased news, media and education.
As such (and assuming I will be able to be a reputable, honest, and unbiased person) I plan to start producing daily news roundups and longer educational YouTube videos.
Here’s a little sketch of some content I have planned out:
All the details are TBC for now, but when it starts in motion these categories will start flicking to green (see below image).
I’ve actually done this before (though it will be impossible for you to find these videos) when I started creating some content on “how to become a lawyer”.
Are there any crypto/NFT content producers or YouTubers who you like the most?
Please let me know (no shillers or “this coin is the next 100x” type person) - otherwise I suspect my work will take inspiration from the following characters, all of whom I recommend:
Giancarlo - Giancarlo buys tokens - NFT videos on market trends
Finematics - for learning about defi
The Nifty - NFT news and speculation and fun
Unchained - Laura Shin’s crypto podcast
We are in “The Information Age” - the information we choose and the knowledge with which we equip ourselves can form the foundation for our outlook and our success.
I hope this can contribute to that success.
If you’d like to be around for when I start producing more stuff, you can subscribe to my channel which is already live with the chats and interviews I have: 32 Dreams YouTube.
4. Thought of the Week
Everyone wants to distill success into its most basic component(s): “Keeping it real” is right up there for me.
I think Pio and Nick - and the rest of the Nifty Portal team - do a phenomenal job putting out their media because they WANT TO DO what they are doing and when they are doing it they SAY WHAT THEY WANT.
I truly believe that an audience, over time, can sniff out people who are not being authentic.
Keeping it real is a prerequisite for success.
It’s also your only sustainable option, as a lifetime spent withholding, curtailing, or hiding your natural instincts can only lead to frustration and resentment.
Keep it real team!
5. Meme of the Week
It’s a long one this week, but this is a nice compilation with a lot of very niche references. Shoutout @frydoteth
Have a great week,
